How to care for dry skin?
Try to wash with water only, avoiding harsh cleansers. If you prefer a deeper cleanse, consider oil cleansing method which does not remove the oils components that is produced from our skin. Bear in mind, do not use hot water to rinse your face since hot water can dry your skin. Rinse your face with warm water and pat dry with soft towel.
Exfoliating your face few times a week to remove the layer of dead skin cells, so that the fresh and healthy skin underneath can be revealed. You can choose to make your own scrub by using fruits, sugar or oatmeal. A good exfoliating scrub contains honey, aloe vera or milk. Gently exfoliate in circular motion all over your face. Let the scrub remove the top layer of dead skin cells lightly and rinse away the scrub.
#3. Facial mask
Mask can be applied to draw out the impurities that is present in the pores. You can choose to purchase a masks from the store or you can make your own mask from the organic ingredients like honey, olive oil, mashed banana or avocado. Apply the mask for 15 minutes to encourage the ingredients nourish your skin.
Moisturize your skin with the moisturizer that suits you. Avoid using moisturizer that contains of alcohol because it can dry your skin. For natural ingredients, you can consider to apply coconut oil as moisturizer. Place a humidifier in your room to replace the dry air that dry out your skin. No humidifier? No problem. Place a bowl of water beside your bed will do just as fine. There are some plants that can also function as humidifier through transpiration process.
#5. Be healthy from the inside out
Avoid consuming too much alcohol and smoking because these substances will have a big impact on your skin. They can make you look older with terrible skin condition. Always drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and consume foods with high vitamins and healthy fats like omega-3 fatty acids.
