Sourced from the Red Gum Eucalypt tree natural to Western Australia, Red Gum Honey has 50% higher antimicrobial activity as compared to other leading honeys. Opceden Red Gum Honeycomb has naturally occurring anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties which can be measured using ‘Total Activity’ (TA) scale. The TA rating of active honey denotes the strength of anti-bacterial activity, measured by the standard (phenol) bacteria-killing scale. Red Gum, or ‘Marri’, is also usually a large tree to 40 m in height.
